SAN JOSE CITY, Nueva Ecija — The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) arrested two wanted individuals and an armed suspect on 31 December, hours before the new year festivities.
According to NEPPO Director Police Col. Ferdinand D. Germino, at 9:15 p.m., personnel from San Jose City Police Station responded to a report from Barangay Villa Marina regarding an individual causing alarm and scandal while holding a firearm.
Upon arrival at Zone 6, Barangay Villa Marina, officers apprehended the suspect, a 38-year-old farmer, who was found in possession of a homemade Cal .38 revolver without a serial number, along with two fired cartridge cases.
The suspect is now facing charges of Alarm and Scandal and Violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and remains under the custody of the San Jose City PS.
In a separate operation at 4:30 p.m, joint operatives from Sta. Rosa Municipal Police Station, 303rd Mobile Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 and the Provincial Intelligence Unit/PPDEU Nueva Ecija successfully arrested a 21-year-old resident of Brgy. Olivete, Bongabon.
The accused was apprehended by virtue of an arrest warrant issued for his involvement in a robbery case. The warrant, issued on 28 November 2024, by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 30, Cabanatuan City, carries a recommended bail of P72,000.
