DAVAO CITY — The 20th City Council of Davao approved an ordinance allocating P14.3 billion budget for 2025.

Vice Mayor Atty. Jay Quitain said the budget is 12 percent higher than the 2024 budget of P12 billion. The 2025 allocation, she said, will be used to sustain government services, fund developmental projects, salary for the local government’s workforce, healthcare needs, and calamity funds, to name a few.

On the other hand, The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) utilized 100 personnel to back the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) during the rush hours especially this holiday season.

These personnel will be assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Unit as it continues to address the traffic problem of the city.

Barangay personnel will also be assisting the CTTMO and DCPO and we are thankful for that, according to DCPO spokesperson Capt. Hazel Tuazon.

It can be recalled that former President Rodrigo Duterte called for more personnel to address the issue of traffic congestion.
