Jennie of Blackpink is preparing to release her eagerly awaited debut solo album in 2025.
In a now unlisted holiday greeting video on her official YouTube channel, Jennie reflected on her year while teasing details about her upcoming project, which has been in the works for 11 months.
"My album is going to sound very different," she shared. "My next single is going to sound very different from ‘Mantra.’ I feel like every step is going to be different."
The 28-year-old artist also revealed that the album will include collaborations with two of her "dream artists," though she chose to keep their identities under wraps.
"This year feels like the little seed in my life — a new era for me," Jennie said, hinting a fresh chapter in her music career.
Jennie recently dropped her solo single “Mantra” on 11 October 2024, marking a bold step forward in her artistry.
Additionally, Jennie signed with Columbia Records in September under her entertainment label Odd Atelier.
The hitmaker debuted as a soloist in 2018 with the chart-topping single "Solo," followed by the fan-favorite dance-pop track "You & Me."
