MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — The Province of Bulacan has been declared as in the State of Stable Internal Peace and Security at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center on Friday, 20 December.
During the simple ceremony led by Governor Daniel Fernando, the Peace and Order Council of Bulacan declared the province peaceful after it has met all the parameters regarding the peace and security situation in the area.
Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member, Honorable Enrique delos Santos, Committee Chairman on Peace and Order, sponsored Resolution Number 057 series of 2024 declaring the province of Bulacan as in the State of Stable Internal Peace and Security.
Brigadier General Oliver C. Maquiling PA, Assistant Division Commander, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army, represented Brigadier General Joseph Norwin D. Pasamonte PA, Commander, during the Signing Ceremony.
Lt. Col. Ryan Joseph Cayton, Commanding Officer, 70th Infantry (Matatag at Matapat) Battalion, and Police Colonel Satur L. Ediong, Bulacan Provincial Director, read its respective Philippine Army — Philippine National Police (PNP) affirmation of declaration.
In his message, BGen. Maquiling said that the declaration was just a dream when they were Lieutenants following their graduation from the Philippine Military Academy in 1991.
“We were then at the front-line of insurgency during those years. Noong panahong iyon may na diskubre nang solusyon pero hindi pa gaano na realized ng Philippine Government. That through the years we were happy na nabuo itong convergence kung saan hindi nalang AFP at PNP ang komo confront sa insurgency,” BGen. Maquiling said.
