Na In Woo officially exempted from military service

On 17 December, Sports Chosun reported that Korean actor Na In Woo has been officially exempted from military service after three years of waiting for a call-up as a public service worker.

Na In Woo received a Grade 4 classification (non-active duty) during his military physical examination, making him eligible for alternative service. However, the Military Manpower Administration did not contact him within the three-year timeframe, leading to a peacetime exemption under South Korea’s Military Service Act. Reports suggest that over 10,000 individuals annually since 2019 have been granted similar exemptions, with Na In Woo among this year’s recipients.

His agency, HANADA Company, confirmed the news, stating, “It is true that Na In Woo has been exempted from military service by the Military Manpower Administration. Since it was based on their decision, we have no further comments to make.”

The actor is now preparing for the release of his upcoming drama project "Motel California," set to premiere on 10 January 2025. Co-starring Lee Se Young, the romance drama depicts the story of a woman who reunites with her first love in her rural hometown after fleeing 12 years ago.

Na In Woo is best known for his performances in popular dramas such as River Where the Moon Rises, Marry My Husband, and Jinxed at First.
