MIDZYs and K-pop fans alike are caught in an exciting New Year’s Eve dilemma: Should they ring in 2025 with friends and family in the comfort of their homes or join the electrifying crowd at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, to watch ITZY light up the stage at the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve Countdown concert?

K-pop sensation ITZY is set to welcome 2025 with their Filipino fans at the highly-anticipated NYE at the 5th event, starting at 7 p.m. on 31 December at 5th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street.

“Relive the energy of last year’s #NYEAtThe5th and gear up for an even bigger and more iconic celebration — right here in BGC,” Bonifacio Global City announced in a Facebook post on 25 November.

This event marks ITZY’s much-anticipated return to the Philippines, roughly four months after their electrifying Born To Be concert at the Mall of Asia Arena last August.

Unlike their previous visit, Hwang Ye-ji (Yeji), Choi Ji-su (Lia), Shin Ryu-jin (Ryujin), Lee Chae-ryeong (Chaeryeong) and Shin Yu-na (Yuna) will reunite as a full five-member group.

This also marks their first performance in Manila with all members since their January 2023 Checkmate world tour concert and follows the announcement that Lia would return in 2024 after a year-long hiatus for health reasons.

Joining ITZY at Taguig’s year-end celebration are some of the biggest names in Filipino pop music, including Asia’s Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, OPM legend Rico Blanco, and “Ere” hitmaker Juan Karlos.

Blending OPM, K-pop, and British electronic vibes, the HONNE duo — Andrew Peter Clutterbuck and James William Hatcher — will also be performing at the Taguig year-ender.

According to Wilbros Live, general admission passes are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited VIP standing access will also be offered, though further details have yet to be announced.

The New Year’s Eve countdown is organized by BGC, ILoveTaguig, Coke Studio and Wilbros Live.

Last year’s New Year’s Eve countdown in Bonifacio Global City also featured an impressive lineup that included K-pop girl group Red Velvet’s Bae Ju-hyun (Irene), Kang Seul-gi (Seulgi), and Son Seung-wan (Wendy), alongside Filipino artists Ely Buendia, KZ Tandingan, Zack Tabudlo and Adie.
