Authorities have intercepted abandoned parcels containing high-grade marijuana and ecstasy with an estimated street value of nearly P13 million in Pasay City.

The Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) said the joint operation conducted Thursday at the Central Mail Exchange Center along Domestic Road led to the seizure of 21 abandoned inbound parcels.

Inside the parcels, authorities found 7.79 kilograms of kush worth P10.9 million and 1,229 ecstasy tablets valued at P2.08 million.

“This successful operation highlights our commitment to combating illegal drugs and ensuring a safer society,” said PDEG chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta.

The seized drugs were inventoried, marked, photographed, and submitted to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Laboratory Service for analysis.

The operation was a collaborative effort of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Interagency Drug Interdiction Task Group, which includes the PDEG.
