The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Thursday thanked those who offered their help, support, and solidarity during the recent crisis involving its top officials.

In a statement, the OVP acknowledged the efforts of medical professionals who worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being of OVP personnel who required medical assistance at the House of Representatives and in the hospitals.

“We are deeply grateful to the doctors and all the healthcare personnel who worked round the clock to ensure that the staff of the Office of the Vice President received the medical help they needed,” the OVP said.

The OVP also extended its appreciation to the lawyers who provided legal support to its personnel during this challenging period.

“We also thank the lawyers who were on constant watch, 24 hours a day, to provide legal assistance to our staff who needed it,” it added.

It also expressed gratitude to Senators Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa and Christopher “Bong” Go for their visits to the hospital to support Vice President Sara Duterte’s chief-of-staff, Zuleika Lopez.

The OVP also commended Senator Imee Marcos for her efforts at ensuring that an order from the Department of the Interior and Local Government was issued, allowing Vice President Duterte and Senator Dela Rosa to stay with Lopez at the VMMC.

The OVP concluded its statement with a note of appreciation for the media’s role in keeping the public informed.

“We also thank the media for continuously shedding light on the country’s situation — monitoring the lack of justice, violence, and reporting on the plight of OVP personnel, all while upholding the fearless and free press,” the OVP said.
