Still fresh from their three-day show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the “Nation’s Girl Group” BINI recently dazzled fans and skincare enthusiasts alike in an exclusive fan event with Pond’s!

Thirty Blooms from all over the country were able to spend an afternoon with the girls on 28 November, meeting the P-Pop sensations consisting of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena.

Out of over 3,000 entries, these fans were selected as the winners of the #PONDSxBINI2StepGlowUp TikTok challenge, showcasing their talents and how they keep their skin bright and glowing!

Fans flew out from as far as Cebu and Davao to Metro Manila just for the opportunity to interact with their idols up close and personal.

These Blooms made sure to bring their A-Game to the set, dancing to “Salamin Salamin” with the girls themselves, creating a core memory for fans by sharing a stage with them.

Ace Arenio, one of the lucky Blooms selected by Pond’s, says he only joined the challenge to get the group photocards, but was shocked to find out that he had won in the meet and greet as well.

“It does not feel real, it feels like a dream…It’s like I’ve been dreaming for that moment and it feels so unreal that I danced next to my bias,” says Arenio, whose group biases are Gwen and Stacey.

Ruth Parada, who felt her chances were slim as three months had passed, was thankful to see her name as one of the winners in Pond’s Instagram post. She adds that seeing BINI up close is a whole different experience than from afar.

“Nakakanginig, kasi kapag nakapunta ka na ng malapitan, parang ‘di mo mamamalayan na ‘Wow! Kasama ko talaga sila (I felt shivery; when you get to go up close, it feels surreal that they are really there with you).’”

Famous faces and social media stars were also invited to show off their beauty, as well as to support BINI and the fan meet. One influencer present was Micah Ubaldo, who gained popularity as a Gwen lookalike during It’s Showtime’s KalokaLike segment this September.

Even though this is her third time seeing BINI in person, she says it still feels like a first every single time and is grateful to be able to attend fan events for her favorite girl group.

“I feel happy, grateful and blessed at the same time, kasi (because) I got the opportunity na makita sila (to see them), especially as a fan,” says Micah.

BINI also expressed their gratitude and appreciation for being chosen as the newest Pond’s girls, saying that beauty is a constant process achieved through self-care.

“It’s a big responsibility din, ‘di ba (also, right)? Showing others how to take care of themselves, [at] ipakita sa kanila na ang (and to show them that) true beauty, hindi lang siya (is not just) skin-deep; it’s all about taking care of yourself,” says group leader Jhoanna.

Main rapper Mikha says that her favorite thing about POND’S is their facial wash, adding that she’s able to see hers and her fellow members skin glow.

“I do think that POND’S is for everyone naman. It’s very affordable, but at the same time there’s class and it really works, proven and tested.”
