MPL PH Season 14 runner-up Aurora has been eliminated from the ongoing Mobile Legends M6 World Championship on Wednesday evening at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

After a rough 0-2 start in the tournament, Aurora's Renejay, Edward, Demonkite, Domeng, and Yue needed to win their three remaining matches to make it to the Knockout Stage.

Aurora's triumph over Ulfhednar last Monday turned out to be their first and last win at M6, as they suffered a stunning 0-2 sweep defeat next at the hands of reigning MPL Indonesia champion Team Liquid ID.

The loss marks the first time since M1 in 2019 that the Philippines will not have two representatives in the Knockout Stage . According to Aurora head coach Aniel "Master the Basics" Jiandani, his players were made to pay for their errors during the match.

"I think the turning point was when they were taking advantage of our mistakes," Master the Basics said at the post-match press conference.

"I am not really sure what to do yet because we have prepared for this match. My players did their best. Team Liquid ID is just the better team right now."

Despite being one of the fan favorites to win the grandest stage of competitive Mobile Legends, the fan-favorite squad is headed to the drawing board after a heartbreaking setback. As early as now, however, Master the Basics made it clear that there won't be roster changes.

"We are looking forward to the next tournaments. We will stick with this lineup until the next tournaments," Master the Basics added.
