GMA reporter Nelson Canlas berated by a DOH representative?

Nelson Canlas remains mum on the issue about a GMA reporter who was publicly lambasted by a representative of the Department of Health during a recent event for World's AIDS Day.

Reports have it that the GMA reporter, believed to be Canlas, was shouted at by the DOH representative after he interviewed beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach.

Worse, the said representative, allegedly in a raised voice, demanded that the reporter delete his taped interview.

Interestingly, Canlas shared a cryptic rant on his official Facebook account about an unpleasant encounter, titling his post "Respect Goes Both Ways."

"I don’t expect a red carpet when I attend events, but if you invite me, I do expect basic respect. If that’s too much, maybe rethink your guest list. Respect isn’t optional—it’s the bare minimum," Canlas wrote.

Among those who commented on his post was his colleague MJ Marfori of TV-5, who said, "Tag na ba natin? talaga siya lol."

Canlas replied, "'Wag. Pero I'm expecting a letter of request from him stating yung mga gusto niyang mangyari. When I go to events, I don't come just as myself, I represent a bigger entity."

Reports also claim that Wurtzbach was startled when Canlas asked her about Heart Evangelista.

It remains unclear whether Wurtzbach raised any concerns with the event organizers or if Canlas deleted the taped interview.
