Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now send money home more securely and conveniently after GCash sealed a deal with Al Fardan Exchange, a top remittance network in the UAE.

GCash said on Friday that the partnership offers competitive exchange rates, real-time transfers, and a fixed fee of AED 15 per transaction.

OFWs can remit funds to Philippine (+63) or UAE (+971) GCash numbers via Al Fardan’s 85 branches or its AlfaPay app.

“Our main mission is to improve the lives of every Filipino, whether they are in the Philippines or abroad,” Paul Albano, GCash international general manager, said.

“The partnership between Al Fardan and GCash empowers our beloved OFWs in the UAE to send money in a secure and fast way to their loved ones. It strengthens their connections with their families and simplifies the remittance process.”

Improved convenience

Meanwhile, Hasan Alfardan, CEO of Al Fardan Exchange, highlighted the importance of customer convenience.

“We are pleased to work with GCash to make international remittances more accessible and convenient for our customers. By leveraging the seamlessness of the GCash app, we are making it easier for Filipinos to receive money and save for a better financial future.”

Through GCash, Filipinos in the UAE can enjoy free real-time transfers to the Philippines, pay bills for utilities, taxes, and tuition, and purchase mobile loads for family members back home.

This initiative supports GCash’s “Finance for All” mission, providing safe and accessible digital financial services to Filipinos worldwide.
