The Philippines solidified its position as a world-class diving destination with the inaugural Philippine Dive Experience, held in Anilao, Mabini, Batangas on Thursday.
Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco led the event, joined by esteemed members of the diplomatic corps from various countries. The event aimed to highlight the Philippines’ stunning marine biodiversity and promote the country as a premier diving destination.
“The Philippines is a global diving haven, and we are proud to showcase our underwater wonders to the world,” Secretary Frasco said. “This event underscores our commitment to sustainable tourism and marine conservation.”
The Philippines has consistently been recognized as a top diving destination, earning the title of World’s Leading Dive Destination for six consecutive years at the World Travel Awards. The country has also received accolades from other prestigious organizations, including TripZilla and the Diving Resort Travel Show.
During the Philippine Dive Experience, certified divers explored Anilao’s vibrant coral reefs, while non-divers had the opportunity to experience the underwater world through guided scuba dives.
The event also included a coastal cleanup at Anilao Pier, highlighting the importance of marine conservation.
