DTI conducts seminar in Tarlac town

PANIQUI, Tarlac — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has conducted the Entrepreneurship Mindsetting Seminar to 79 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in this town.

According to DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo, the seminar was organized by the Negosyo Center Paniqui and in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office. She added that the training aims to unlock the potential of participants in starting, developing and growing their future businesses.

Balilo said, “With the strong partnership with the municipal government of Paniqui, we could easily reach out, deliver services, and encourage entrepreneurship, further upskilling these beneficiaries.”

Business counselor Ranjee Mañalac discussed the importance of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the economy, the basics of entrepreneurship, and the characteristics of an entrepreneur.

Armando de Jesus, one of the 4Ps beneficiaries, cited that the seminar is essential in cultivating their sustainable livelihood skills.

“Indeed, the seminar helped us in preparing ourselves before starting our own business,” he said.

DTI looks forward to inspiring the beneficiaries to apply what they have learned from the seminar, and to become economically empowered MSMEs.
