Comelec awards P17.9-B contract to Miru Systems

The Commission on Elections awarded the contract for the 2025 midterm elections' vote counting machines to the joint venture of South Korean company Miru Systems on Thursday.

The contract is valued at P17.9 billion, which is less than the Comelec's budget of P18.8 billion.

The contract included 110,000 automated counting machines, 104,345 ballot boxes, and 2,200 CCS servers/laptops, and printers.

This also included the printing of 73,851,934 ballots, ballot papers, and ballot verification.
