Liza meets with members of Asian Cultural Council

Select members of the Asian Cultural Council took a night off to have their first meeting of the year with First Lady Marie Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos.

Even before she became First Lady, culture and the arts have been an interest of Araneta-Marcos as she sat on the Asian Cultural Council board.

"Asian Cultural Council's first meeting of the year," she wrote on her Instagram account.

Meanwhile, two portraits painted by a relative of internationally recognized Filipino artist Juan Luna have immortalized the First Lady.

Araneta-Marcos commended Freddie Luna Cruz for his artistic talent when the local artist stopped by her office to present her with the framed paintings — two of her and one of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The First Lady expressed her admiration for Cruz's exquisite paintings on Instagram. She posted pictures of herself with the artist and his work on her Instagram.

"Started the year grateful for the beautiful works of art by Filipino artist Freddie Luna Cruz, a descendant of renowned Filipino artist Juan Luna," the First Lady wrote.
