Bulacan welcomes farmers, fishermen training center

City of Malolos, Bulacan — The provincial government here recently opened the farmers and fishermen training center and agriculture office inside the compound of the capitol.

The two-story facility has a budget of P14 million and will be used by the Provincial Agriculture Office as their office and will also be used as a training center to provide training to farmers and fishermen in Bulacan.

At the first floor, a room each will be allotted for the Program Management, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division, Farmers' Information and Technology Services Center, Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Center, and two rooms will serve as training rooms.

On the second floor, four rooms will be utilized by the Crops Development Division, Fisheries Development Division, Conference Room, and one room eacg for the Administrative Division and Provincial Agriculturist office.

Another building will be the Farmers/Fisherfolks Training Center dormitory and guest room.

Governor Daniel Fernando said that the facility will help the farmers and fishermen of Bulacan that will boost the agricultural sector of the province.

Provincial agriculturist Ma. Gloria SF. Carrillo said that through the training center, the farmers and fishermen can acquire knowledge that will further boost their livelihood and income.
