TikTok, pharma firms onboard IPOPHL deal

China's top social networking site TikTok, and two pharmaceutical firms have confirmed their commitment to be included in the E-Commerce memorandum of understanding of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, which is aimed to take down IP infringing posts.

Aside from TikTok, Quadgen Pharmaceutical and Greenstone Pharmaceutical HK, Inc. upheld their commitment as signatories of the E-Commerce MoU last month.

"To our incoming signatories, we hope that signing this MoU marks the beginning of a dynamic and enduring partnership. You become one with us and the other signatories in our commitment to enforce IP rights, especially in the digital space," IPOPHL director general Rowel Barba said during the signing.
