British School Manila emerges victorious in inter-school games

British School Manila’s comprehensive victory has become a FOBISIA record.

U15 students from the British School Manila won big at the Federation of British International Schools in Asia Games held at Pattana Sports Resort, Chonburi from 16 to 20 November.

The inter-school competition brought together some of the best young talents from international schools around Asia to compete in a range of sporting disciplines.

Aside from British School Manila, participants came from British School Kuala Lumpur, Discovery Bay Hong Kong, Dulwich College Beijing, Garden International School Kuala Lumpur, North London College Jeju and Dover Court International School Singapore.

There were 48 athletic competitions, with BSM students taking to the podium in 37 events with a medal tally that included 17 gold, 11 silver and nine bronze medals.

In swimming, BSM athletes won 24 medals (two gold, 12 silver, and 10 bronze) from the 37 events on offer.

The football and basketball competitions followed a round-robin format, with students from BSM emerging victorious in every category. The unbeaten streak included 24 wins across both Boys and Girls teams Basketball and Football. 

The triumph marks a historic moment for the British School Manila with the school's comprehensive victory across all four categories in the top tiers of the groupings becoming a FOBISIA record.
