MSU students get free transport

Cagayan de Oro City — The provincial government of Lanao del Sur and the Mindanao State University on Sunday deployed vehicles to provide free transportation to returning students for the resumption of classes today.

MSU president Atty. Basari Mapupuno disclosed that the vehicles were deployed in Cagayan de Oro City, in Misamis Oriental, Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur and in the town of Malabang in Lanao del Norte.

The vehicles were available from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Basari said out of the 14,855 students enrolled at least 1,948 or 13.11 percent had returned to the places of origin and the school administration and the Lanao del Sur provincial government will assist and provide transportation to returning students.

The school also will provide special accommodation to the victims of the blast including exemption from classes and complying from requirement until full recuperation.
