Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna disclosed that the local government is on schedule to deliver Christmas food boxes to all 695,000 households in the city by 12 December 2023.
This comes as a relief to many residents who were worried about the distribution process.
The distribution began on 1 December and has already reached 339 barangays in just four days. The boxes contain spaghetti with sauce, cheese, milk, corned beef and rice, providing families with essential Noche Buena items.
Lacuna personally spearheaded the delivery process and has called on barangay authorities to quickly distribute the boxes to their residents. With the current pace of distribution, Lacuna is confident that all households will receive their boxes by 12 December.
