Divisoria Mall traffic hits high

Dragon8 Mall in Divisoria, Manila, owned and operated by DoubleDragon Corp., reported an all-time high weekend customer foot traffic of 67,136 as customers seizes back their confidence to shop amid improved mobility.

In a stock report, the company said the number is expected to further grow in the coming days as the holidays near.

Based on the company's mall record, daily customer foot traffic is likewise anticipated to exceed 200,000 once the North-South Commuter Railway or NSCR urban rail transit project is complete.

The six-story Dragon8 Mall is situated in a prime location at the corner of Recto Avenue and Dagupan Streets, within the busiest main center of Divisoria, Manila.

Dragon8 Mall-Divisoria houses 405 operating tenants and top food choices such as Jollibee, Mang Inasal, Highlands Coffee and Chowking.

The footbridge that connects straight to the third floor of Dragon8 Mall-Divisoria was built to make it more convenient for train commuters given the expected completion of the Malolos-Tutuban rail project next year, which is expected to carry 200,000 commuters daily.

The Tutuban Manila to Malolos Bulacan rail project forms part of the 163-kilometer NSCR urban rail transit system from Calamba Laguna to Clark in Central Luzon.

The Malolos-Tutuban segment, which is 38 kilometers long, is expected to carry more than 200,000 commuters daily.

Once the project is complete, the travel time from Malolos to Tutuban is estimated to be 35 minutes.

The impending completion of the first 38 kilometers of the Malolos-Tutuban rail project, which will be followed by the completion of the entire 163 kilometers of the NSCR urban rail transit project, is anticipated to be a significant catalyst in further revitalizing economic activity in the Divisoria.
