AFAB increases garbage fees

Mariveles, Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan has increased their garbage collection fee to P810.81 per cubic meter, saying that it is necessary to ensure that AFAB continues to provide its stakeholders with reliable and efficient garbage collection and disposal.

The AFAB provides the service of collecting and hauling non-hazardous residual solid waste to an engineered sanitary landfill in accordance with the Republic Act 9003, otherwise known as the "Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000" and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

The cost will cover the collection, tipping, hauling and disposal of FAB residual waste from FAB transfer station, including provision for all necessary manpower, hauling vehicles, drivers, crews, equipment, tools, materials and supplies necessary to accomplish an efficient disposal to a sanitary landfill facility.

AFAB is known to manufacture items such as textiles, leather, rubber and elastic products, apparel, chemicals and chemical products, transportation equipment, computers, electronic and other optical products, electrical equipment, fabricated metal products, food products, paper products, refined petroleum, wood products and other materials.
