Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Secretary Larry Gadon on Sunday hails the issuance of Proclamation Orders by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. giving amnesty to revolutionary movements.
Gadon said PBBM's Proclamations 403, 404, 405, and 406 for former rebels of the New People's Army, Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), and the Rebolusyonaryong Partido ng Manggagawa ng Pilipinas/Revolutionary Proletarian Army/Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPMP-RPA-ABB) are a proof of Marcos commitment to unity, peace, and justice that is geared toward progress.
"Ito ay pagpapatunay na tunay at tapat ang hangarin ni Presidente Marcos Jr. na pagbuklurin ang mga Pilipino tungo sa pagkakaisa at upang sama sama tayong babangon muli," Gadon said in a statement sent DAILY TRIBUNE.
He added that the amnesty offered by the President serves as a bridge for peace and the upliftment of many Filipinos from poverty and hunger.
Gadon pointed to the latest survey that showed fewer Filipinos have experienced hunger during the last few months.
"This is because of the efficient implementation of the social measures and reforms led by Pres. BBM Jr., like putting the rice price cap; the new tenant emancipation act that condoned many farmer's debt to the government; the food stamp for the poorest of the poor and the streamlined 4Ps, among others," Gadon stressed.
The poverty alleviation chief also credited the efforts of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian for the " highly efficient implementation" of social protection and alleviation programs of the Marcos Administration.
"I also give credit and recognition to Sec Rex Gatchalian of DSWD for the highly efficient and rational implementation of the social protection programs under his department," Gadon said.
"Sa pagkakataong ito , ako ay nananawagan sa mga Pilipino na naging bahagi ng mga revolutionary movements na sana sila ay makiisa at makipagtulungan na tahakin ang daan tungo sa pagunlad ng bansa at pag ginhawa ng buhay ng bawat Pilipino. Tatahakin natin ang pagtuloy na pag unlad ng bansa at ang pagbibigay ng magandang buhay sa bawat Pilipino . Mabuhay ang Bagong Pilipinas," the Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation urged.
