Three rude Malaysian tourists were denied entry at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 Friday due to their impolite and disrespectful behavior.

In a report, the BI Border Control and Intelligence Unit said that the Malaysian nationals (a man and his two female companions) arrived via a Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong.

The BI-NAIA officials identified the Malaysian passengers as Tan Hoong Kiat, a 35-year-old male; Lim Fong Teng, a 31-year-old female; and Khoo Seok Hun, a 30-year-old female.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco immediately ordered the inclusion of the three Malaysians on the immigration blacklist, preventing them from entering the country for being undesirable aliens.

Tansingco said that foreigners who come here should display respect and courtesy to persons of authority in their host country. Their stay here is a mere privilege and not a right; hence, they should not malign and insult their immigration officers.

According to the BI-BCIU, the Malaysians were turned away after uttering insulting and unpleasant words against the immigration officers who requested they present their outward or return tickets, which they did not have.

It was also reported that the passengers lost their temper, yelled obscenities, and refused to stop when the immigration supervisors on duty explained why they had to present their airline tickets.

Consequently, for being rude and discourteous and failing to procure return tickets, the passengers were excluded and booked on the first available flight to their port of origin.

Under existing rules, foreign tourists who visit the country must procure and present their return tickets to BI officers at the port of entry, and their failure to do so can be grounds to exclude them for being improperly documented aliens.
