Two giant Christmas trees were lit this week at the intersection of J. Vargas and San Miguel Avenues, ushering in the Christmas season at Barangay San Antonio in Pasig City.

BSA chairman Raymond Lising said that barangay residents want the Yuletide season to be filled with "love and unity" to bring the community closer.

"In the spirit of Christmas, we wish everyone a happy holidays," Lising said. "We thank all of our people who have been with us through the years."

He stressed the barangay will continue to actively support people-centric local government projects.

For his part, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto thanked the barangay officials, as well as the representatives from Quezon City and Mandaluyong City who witnessed the lighting of the Christmas trees.

"Ortigas is special because, unlike other business districts, it encompasses three cities," Sotto said.
