Alpha Omega strikes again; Bulacan wins

Toda Aksyon Bulacan Taipan rode on the solid games of Francisco Tancioco and Jonas Tibayan to outlast Demigod Shawarma Shack, 71-66, in the Pilipinas Super League President's Cup  late Wednesday night at the Central Recreational and Fitness Center.

Tancioco and Tibayan combined for 27 points as they combined forces to lead Bulacan Taipan immediately to the win column.

Rebounding has been the key for the Taipan, who outrebounded their rivals, 48-39.

Teytey Teodoro led the way for Demigod Shawarma Shack as he wound up with 21 points, including seven three point shots, the most by any player so far after one week of opening of this new season.

Nearly overshadowed by Bulacan's win was Alpha Omega's tense 68-66 triumph over Novaliches in the other game

Alpha Omega turned to John Gabriel, who cNe away with a double-double performance as the former Philippine Basketball Association player wound up with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead his team to its second straight victory and a share of the lead with Manila.

No team shot better than 35% from the field, but Alpha Omega had more rebounds than its rival, 58-39.
