Baguio voter turnout only half, says Comelec

BAGUIO CITY — The Commission on Elections in Cordillera region on Sunday disclosed that almost only 50 percent of the total voters here exercised their right to suffrage during the conduct of the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

Data from the poll body showed that the total number of voters in the city is 169,711 and of that total, at least 75,700 are males while 94,305 are females.

The voters who actually participated in choosing their respective new roster of barangay officials are 89,962 which is 53.01 percent of the total number of voters.
