Three young, talented aspiring idols from the Philippines are ready to bring the country's flag to center stage as they compete in a South Korean survival show, Universe Ticket.

The show is set to premiere on Korean broadcaster SBS on 18 November, per an announcement by the program on X (formerly Twitter).

Universe Ticket will feature a total of 82 contestants competing to secure one of the coveted eight spots in a brand-new K-pop girl group that will be formed and will be promoted for two and a half years.

Representing the Philippines in this highly demanding survival show are trainees Aya Natsumi, Gehlee Dangca and Elisia.

The three and their co-competitors will face a formidable panel of judges and mentors made up of well-known figures in the K-pop industry: Hyoyeon of the legendary girl group Girls' Generation, Yeji and Chaeryeong from the immensely popular ITZY, singer-actress Kim Sejeong, Rian from the dynamic dance crew La Chica and singer-songwriters Younha and Adora.

Universe Ticket is the latest in a series of South Korean survival shows that have consistently delivered chart-topping K-Pop groups. Over the years, these shows have given rise to beloved "project" or temporary K-Pop groups such as I.O.I, Wanna One, IZ*ONE, X1, Kep1er and ZEROBASEONE.
