Naturalized Gilas Pilipinas player, Justin Brownlee, is set to enter the reserve force of the Philippine Army, Senator Francis Tolentino disclosed Saturday.
"Si Justin Brownlee ay nangako na rin na magiging reservist ng Philippine Army so magiging bahagi rin siya bilang kawal ng Pilipinas bilang isang reservist," Tolentino said at the sidelines of the ROTC event in Pasay City.
Tolentino, who is a reservist himself, believes that Brownlee would become an asset to the country's reserve force unit.
Tolentino previously administered Brownlee's oath-taking of allegiance to the Philippines on 16 January.
Brownlee, who was hailed from the United States, initially joined the Philippine Basketball Association as a replacement import for Barangay Ginebra.
He was granted Philippine citizenship through the Republic Act 11937.
