Gilas Youth absorbed a 36-92 drubbing at the hands of Australia in the semifinal of the FIBA U16 Asian Championship early Sunday at the Al-Gharafa Sports Club Multi-Purpose Hall in Doha.
The Australians shackled the Philippines, which already qualified for the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey, to a woeful 14-of-71 shooting.
Dash Daniels led Australia with 12 points while Sa Pilimaihad 11 points.
Irus Chua and CJ Amos both had six points each as Gilas will be going up against China for the bronze on Monday, 25 September, at the same venue.
