Senator Mark Villar and Justice Undersecretary Emmeline Villar hosted a special screening of the film "Sound of Freedom", attended by the officers of Immigration Protection and Border Enforcement Section (I-PROBES), on 16 September.

According to I-PROBES, the film is based on the true story of a former CIA agent who, after saving a boy from vicious child traffickers, found out that the boy's sister was still being held hostage which prompted him to go on a risky operation to rescue her. To save her, he quits his job and ventures deep into the Colombian forest.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco expressed his support for the initiative, stating that communication is important to open up conversations about trafficking.

"It is happening right under our noses," said Tansingco. "Efforts like this are important because they start conversations about what trafficking is," the BI chief stated.

The BI, together with numerous government agencies, is a member of the inter-agency council against trafficking.
