After four years of marriage, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are headed for divorce.
Multiple sources claim that the Jonas Brothers singer "had his people contact and consult with at least two L.A.-area divorce lawyers and he is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie."
On 5 September, Jonas filed for a petition for dissolution of marriage in Miami Dade County, Florida. The petition claims that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken."
The petition also said the couple's children, Willa, 3, and a newborn daughter, 14 months, have been residing with Joe in Miami and other locations throughout the country.
"It is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility," it said.
According to TMZ, Jonas and Turner had been having "serious problems" over the last six months. "She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles," said a source.
Amid the split rumors, Jonas was recently seen wearing his wedding band at his recent concerts. Meanwhile, the Game of Thrones' latest Instagram post, uploaded on 14 August, showed snaps of them at the Jonas Brothers New York concerts.
The couple met in 2016 through mutual friends. After a year of dating, Jonas and Turner announced their engagement in October 2017.
They went on to have two weddings — first in Las Vegas in May 2019 after attending the Billboard Music Awards, and second a month later at Le Château de Tourreau in Sarrians, France with friends and family.
Jonas and Turner reportedly have a pre-nuptial agreement. Jonas has asked for joint custody of their daughters.
The couple have yet to comment on the news.
