Plastic pollution has become a growing problem, negatively affecting many livelihoods and ecosystems sustained by oceans and waterways.

Babyflo, a leading personal care brand under PHILUSA Corporation, has partnered with Plastic Bank, a Canada-based social enterprise, on a program to help reduce ocean-bound plastic waste and pollution.

In the first year of their collaboration, PHILUSA Corporation and Plastic Bank have stopped 50,000 kilograms of plastic from entering the ocean — the equivalent of 2.5 million plastic bottles.

Now, they are committed to another year of action, aiming to collect another 50,000 kilograms of plastic with the help of Plastic Bank's collection community members who are dedicated to preventing plastic from polluting oceans and championing anti-poverty efforts through the exchange of collected plastic for life-improving benefits.

Building on Babyflo's commitment to environmental responsibility and aligned with Plastic Bank's advocacy, the brand has started transitioning to a more eco-friendly product line of cotton buds. Its Babyflo Gentle Buds Eco-Friendly are made from natural ingredients, with 100-percent pure cotton tips and unbleached paper stems that come from responsibly managed forests.
