Acquiring a house is costly but there are ways to get one without having to spend too much.
Couple Benjo and Bheng Dimaandal of Camarines Norte were able to build a unique home at a cost of only P165,000, "Dapat Alam Mo" reported.
They claim their house is way better than a condominium. Inspired by the recreational vehicles popular in the United States, the Dimaandals built a mini mobile home that allows them to travel around the country without having to book a hotel room. The rolling house serves as their accommodation wherever they go, saving them a lot of money. It comes complete with amenities such as a mini cabinet, a portalet with a shower, a convertible bed, and a kitchen sink.
Amazingly, the home was originally a tricycle that they used in a mobile car wash business, their first venture when they moved to the province at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to DAM.
Later, the two turned it into a rolling store. When the store also did not prosper, they decided to convert it into a mobile home and fulfill their dream of traveling.
The happiness that they derive from traveling together in their tricycle house is unparalleled, Benjo and Bheng said.
On the other hand, receiving a house as a gift is even better than assembling a cheap mobile home.
An Iranian couple gave a well-loved family member their apartment and a video of the property transfer went viral on social media.
The video showed the couple affixing their signatures to the contract of transfer. For the signature of the recipient — Chester — a woman pressed the dog's paw on an ink pad and stamped it on the contract.
The woman on the video said the couple had no heirs and they wanted to sell the apartment to their pet, Agence France-Presse reported.
When authorities saw the video, police arrested the couple and closed their real estate business last 19 August. The contract was also invalidated.
Deputy Prosecutor General Reza Tabar explained that the sale sought to "normalize the violation of society's moral values" and had "no legal basis," according to AFP.
