Celebrities came together in New York City on Thursday to celebrate the anniversary of "Sex and the City", which aired its first episode on HBO on 6 June 1998.
It also marked the opening of the "Sex and the City Experience", which was graced by SATC lead stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristen Davis.
The SATC Experience is an immersive pop-up that features a number of iconic images, fashions, and memorabilia from the popular TV series.
SATC is a romantic-comedy series that focuses on the sex lives of four female best friends. The characters were praised by critics as positive example of strong, independent women.
The character of sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw was portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker; journalist Charlotte York was played by Kristin Davis; the fiery career-minded Harvard-educated lawyer, Miranda Hobbes, was played by Cynthia Nixon; and the 40-ish movie producer known for dating younger men, Samantha Jones, was portrayed by Kim Cattrall.
