Born in county jail, Texan girl makes it to Harvard

What could possibly be more attention-grabbing than to open your school application letter with the words: "I was born in prison."

That's what 18-year-old Aurora Sky Castner wrote in her application essay to Harvard which found it worthy enough to accept the Texas native.

Castner was born in the Galveston County Jail after her mother was incarcerated there for some unspecified reason.

She was then picked up as a newborn by her father who raised her single-handedly.

Castner graduated third in her class at Conroe High School.
