Northern Samar greenlights JO gratuity pay

CATARMAN, Northern Samar — The Northern Samar Provincial Board announced that at least 2,416-job order and contractual employees who have been in service with the provincial government for at least four months are set to receive their gratuity pay.

In a special session on Tuesday, the provincial board approved the grant of gratuity pay amounting to not more than P5,000 per job order or contractual employee who has been in the service for four months as of 15 December 2022.

The amount of gratuity pay however, may vary based on the guidelines set under Administrative Order No. 3 issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The special session was convened on the request of Northern Samar Governor Edwin Ongchuan so as to provide JO and COS employees with similar incentive after the Department of Budget Management issued the guidelines for the grant of Service Recognition Incentive to regular and casual employees.

Last year, the Provincial Government also released gratuity pay to job order and contractual employees.
