Livestreaming platform Bigo held its annual Awards Gala recently at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City.
For its first physical event since 2021's virtual inaugural edition, over 200 Bigo Live broadcasters, hosts, families, and partners attended.
Hosted by actor-comedian Ian Red and actor-singer Nicole Cando, the event recognized the best of Bigo Live Philippines' community in over 20 categories.
Kyla Arsenio (kyarsn) won Most Popular Star of the Night, with James Daniel as Most Loyal SVIP, Prime Agency (PH-PTA2) as Agency of the Year, and Ikang de la Fuente (Ikangmo) as the Most Popular New Host of the Year.
The night also saw Jannine Cartagena (ninjajannine) winning a record-breaking three awards including PK Guinness Record Breaker of the Year, GALA PK Star and GALA Ranking Star.
"It is an incredible honor to be recognized as the Philippines' best agency for the second consecutive year, which is testament to the dedication and perseverance of our agency's members throughout the year. The Bigo Live Philippines community is an inclusive and welcoming one, and we will strive to showcase the best of Filipino content and talent for the world to see," Prime Agency founder Bonnie Yu said.
In between awards, the attendees were treated to performances from some of Bigo Live Philippines' top talents including Mico Chua (tmg_mico), Johann Celindro (itsJohann), Erika Gervacio (itserika1301), Emie Conjurado (emieloveee), and Nikki Enriquez (NikkiEnriquez). A special performance from Ann Raniel (annraniel) of Idol Philippines closed the evetnt with renditions of "The Power" and "Ikot-Ikot."
"The Filipino community has powerfully captivated us with how talented they are, all while making meaningful change and shaping their communities in a way that's inclusive, relevant, and empowering.
