HERMOSA, Bataan — The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the construction of P15 million worth of a multipurpose facility at Barangay Palihan in Hermosa, and a
multi-purpose building in Orani, Bataan.
The agency said that the building will serve as office of the village's Senior Citizen Association.
The DPWH said the P4.94 million senior citizen building was implemented by DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. which was built inside a compound where the barangay hall and a day care center are situated.
"With its completion, we are optimistic that the delivery of social services to the residents, especially the senior citizens of Palihan, will be enhanced," Flores said.
According to Barangay captain Lamberto Suelto, said the 144-square meter facility is equipped with ramps for persons with disabilities, office spaces, toilets and a pantry.
The project was implemented under DPWH's Basic Infrastructure Program with funds sourced from the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
