5 fall in Pasay drug busts

Elements of the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit netted five individuals in two drug buy-bust operations in Pasay City leading.

SPD P/Brig. Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft identified the arrested suspects in the first operation as Joy Aragon Parangan, alias Kim, 44; alias Alain, 24; and Celso Wing Valdez, 20.

Kraft said the suspects were nabbed around 9:20 p.m. along Road 4, Pildera 2, Barangay 193, Pasay City.

Members of the SPD-DEU seized from the suspects four plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 30 grams and with an estimated street price of P204,000.

The SPD chief added that the seized pieces of evidence were turned over to the SPD forensic unit for analysis while the suspects were brought to the SPD-DDEU office for documentation and were charged with illegal possession of drugs.

In a separate operation, two alleged street-level individuals listed in the city drug watchlist were arrested during the conduct of a one-time, big-time operation by members of the Pasay City police.

Col. Byron Tabernilla, city police chief, identified the suspects as John Peter Rañon Salaver, alias Dilat, 23, a delivery rider and subject of the buy-bust operation; and John Hubert Marvilla Jr., 23.

Kraft said the suspects were arrested around 1:00 a.m. along Tramo Street, Barangay 46 Zone 6, Pasay City.

The station drug enforcement unit confiscated from them 24 plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves worth P3,000.
