Bong Go aids indigents in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan

Sen. Bong Go, in his video message during the relief operation in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan on Friday, 25 November, reiterated that he remains focused on strengthening the country's health care system.

For this reason, he has been pushing for more adequate funds to construct more health facilities such as the Super Health Centers, as well as the Malasakit Centers to be able to cater to more far-flung and disadvantaged communities nationwide.

In the province of Bulacan, Go committed to support the construction of seven Super Health Centers, including in the cities of San Jose del Monte and Meycauayan; and towns of Bulakan, Pandi, San Miguel, Guiguinto, and Balagtas — the last one's groundbreaking having been personally witnessed by Go on 16 November.

"Swerte tayo, mga kapatid kong Bulakeño, na magkakaroon kayo ng Super Health Centers dito sa inyong lugar. Isinulong po natin at ipinaglaban na magkaroon ng Super Health Center dito sa inyo dahil alam ko po kung gaano ninyo kailangan na mapalapit sa inyo ang serbisyong medikal ng gobyerno," said Go.

"Naiintindihan ko po na napakalayo ng inyong barangay sa sentro kaya naman kami na po gumawa ng paraan para hindi na kayo lumayo pa. May nakalaan pong pondo para sa pagtatayo ng 307 Super Health Centers sa buong bansa (sa ilalim ng 2022 national budget)," he added.

Held at the city covered court in Poblacion 1, Go's team distributed snacks, shirts and umbrellas to 876 struggling residents. They likewise gave away cellular phones, shoes, bicycles, watches, and balls for basketball and volleyball to select individuals.

In addition, the Department of Social Welfare and Development provided financial assistance to the residents.

Go likewise gave recognition to the barangay workers in San Rafael last 17 November.
