Sen. Bong Go remains dedicated to providing support to struggling communities in the country as his team provided assistance to indigents in Lucena City, Quezon on Tuesday, 15 November.
In his video message, Go, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, reminded the public to prioritize their health amid the ongoing pandemic.
He then offered assistance to those with medical concerns and encouraged them to visit the Malasakit Center at Quezon Medical Center in the city or at Maria L. Eleazar General Hospital in Tagkawayan, the opening of which was personally witnessed by Go last September.
Signed into law in 2019 by former president Rodrigo Duterte, the Malasakit Centers Act aims to provide poor and indigent patients convenient access to medical assistance programs offered by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
Representatives from DSWD also extended financial assistance grants to the residents.
On 25 October, the team of Go provided similar assistance to more poor communities in Infanta.
