Darker and scarier.

That's how Carla Abellana describes Game Over, the latest special of GMA Network's weekly anthology Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.

Game Over, a month-long special, tells the story of nurse Lorraine (Carla Abellana), a strict but loving sister who struggles to take her siblings away from distractions.

Game Over, a month-long special, tells the story of nurse Lorraine (Carla Abellana), a strict but loving sister who struggles to take her siblings away from distractions. Lara (Cassy Legaspi) is very much fascinated with K-dramas while her brother Luigi (Will Ashley) is addicted to mobile games.

Lorraine soon discovers that Luigi has fallen in love with Jade (Althea Ablan), the lead character of his favorite zombie game. As Lorraine takes the gadget away from him, she suddenly gets warped and enters the video game. Luigi decides to follow her.

Lara became worried about the disappearance of her brother. She looks for him with the help of her schoolmate Red (Luis Hontiveros). But, they were stunned to see both of Lara's siblings in the mobile game. Lara decides to play it to save them. Things got out of hand, and they all went inside the game.

"This is different. Everything was carefully prepared for, from cinematography to the effects," Abellana said in a virtual media conference.

Game Over has a gaming factor that allows viewers to somehow get involved with the story, she added.

"In a way, we wanted them to engage with us. Like they are the ones playing the said video game," Abellana said.

The show, directed by Rico Gutierrez, also stars Matt Lozano as Tiny.

Game Over airs every Sunday, 7 p.m. this November.
