Bay Area Dragons proved that they’re more than just Myles Powell’s team.

Glen Yang stepped up big and played the role of stabilizer for the Dragons, who remained perfect in the PBA Commissioner's Cup as they pulled off a 106-100 triumph against Converge FiberXers on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

As Powell led the way with 33 points and eight boards, hitting 9-of-11 shots from the free throw area, Yang finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds as he provided the much-needed support for the former Philadelphia 76ers guard.

Meanwhile, Zhu Songwei chipped in 20 markers, including three triples as the visiting squad stayed unbeaten after four games, which served as a fitting preparation for its much-awaited encounter against the crowd-darling Gin Kings.

Bay Area coach Brian Goorjian will get back into action against the powerhouse Gin Kings on Sunday.

Goorjian, an Olympian, who led Australia to a bronze medal finish in the Tokyo Olympics, will exchange basketball smarts against Tim Cone, the winningest coach in PBA history, who is looking to lead Ginebra to its second straight win – and hopefully snap the losing streak of the visiting squad.

Yang considers the game against Ginebra as probably the biggest challenge for the squad this early.

"We haven't played an opponent like that yet, it's going to be a big test for us," added Yang.
