Zombs blasts Sentinels captain

JM Siasat

Former Valorant professional player Jared "zombs" Gitlin lasted out at the shot-calling of Sentinels team captain Shahzeb "ShahZam" Khan during his time with the team's competitive squad.

One of the key members of Sentinels during its meteoric rise in the competitive Valorant scene in 2021, Zombs was benched by the organization earlier this year after a series of defeats and has recently played on loan with Version 1 at Valorant Premiership Season 3.

He said his full potential was not utilized in tournaments with ShahZam taking the in-game leader role.

"When I played that V1 match, I was calling a lot of sh-t. With Sentinels, I literally called nothing. I literally did not do anything. I just listened to what ShahZam was basically telling me. Most of the time it was like being AFK doing nothing," Zombs said during a live stream.

"Thinking back on it, all the stuff he was telling me to do was actually not what I was supposed to be doing. I do not want to deviate from what he was saying because sure, he knows what he is saying and asking me to do."

Once touted as the best Valorant team in the world, Sentinels' fall from grace prompted it to do a major roster reshuffle that saw it recruit former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro and superstar Michael "shroud" Grzesiek.
