‘Phanfone’ still outside PAR

Tropical Storm “Phanfone” remained outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility as of 3 a.m. on Monday.

Spotted some 1,000 kilometers east of Mindanao, it will be named “Ursula” once inside PAR, according to the 4 a.m. bulletin by state weather bureau PAGASA.

The tropical storm is forecast to make landfall over Eastern Visayas-Caraga area on Tuesday, 24 December, evening. It will then traverse the Visayas area.

In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, easterlies will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
