Bolts in finals

Meralco needed a huge second half run to trounce TNT, 89-78 and barge into the PBA Governors’ Cup finals at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

The Bolts set up another finals face-off against Barangay Ginebra at the close of their best-of-five semifinals showdown against the KaTropa.

Meralco had to win two games in a row after falling on the brink of elimination, 2-1, before coming back strong en route to its finals stint.

Allen Durham once again delivered monster numbers in the closeout win, but the Bolts also got a major lift from Chris Newsome and Bong Quinto particularly in the fourth quarter of deciding Game 5 against the KaTropa.
