Shootout mars memorial party for shot man

The party was for the celebration of Lonell Irvin’s death anniversary. He was shot dead during an attempted carjacking in April.

A shootout that wounded 13 people occurred early Sunday at a memorial gathering inside a South Side, Chicago home for a man who was shot dead.

Police camera showed two men outside the house on the 5700 block of South May Street in Englewood firing at people fleeing the house where a shootout was also happening, according to Chicago police.

The wounded were between 16 to 48 years old, including one carrying a revolver.
