DoH grants dope testing kits

KALIBO, Aklan — The Department of Health has provided 1,500 drug testing kits to the administration of the Aklan State University (ASU).

Ramel Buncalan, president of the Aklan Baghay (Bagong Buhay) Inc.said they welcome the initiative in making the ASU, a state university, drug free.

The program implementation is also being supported by the Association of the Municipal Health Offices of the Philippines (AMHOP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Provincial Advisory Council for Police Transformation and Development (PAC-PTD), and the Provincial Anti Drug Abuse Council (PADAC).

Recently, the Aklan Baghay Inc forged a memorandum of agreement with the ASU for partnership to make the state university drug tree.

Atty. Flosemer Chris Gonzales, vice chairman of PAC-PTD said that they are partnering with the ASU to make the university a drug free institution.

The distribution of testing for faculty and students is currently up to the ASU administration.
